The Prague National Gallery’s exhibit on Asian Art is free on the first Monday of the month after 3pm. It’s a bit of a haul out to Zbraslav, but well worth the trip. It’s a very nice collection that is currently housed in a former monastery. Absolutely beautiful, and doesn’t take that long to get to. Just get on a bus at Smichov Station, and take it about 15 minutes out, no problem. Details at http://www.ngprague.cz, and directions too. Took a bunch of pictures and will post them when I get my computer back at…. some point in time, hopefully. But go soon, because apparently the collection is moving to Kinsky Palace in Old Town Square in the next few months, I think. Understandable, as Zbraslav is a bit off the tourist track so we pretty much had the place to ourselves, and on a free day, that’s pretty impressive.
